What is also very cool is getting response back when people like what I have written or comments when it resonates with them. Most of you who read what I write are my family or friends, but I have started collecting some new friends. It has been really fun to see some of my writing translate to people who have no idea who I am and who aren't emotionally connected to me.
My new friend Michele Knowles is the first person to formally "share" my writing. I would have never known, but Facebook sent me an update! She is part of a writing group I joined. So cool huh?!
The other cool thing about Facebook is that you have access to share how what other writers create impacts you. I was introduced to Terri Cole's work. After visiting her website & reading her work, I wrote Doing The Math. I am still struggling with the lesson that I am the common denominator of my life. It is so much easier to accept that I keep finding myself in the same situations created by others than to truly embrace that I am the creator.
After writing that piece, I posted it on Terri Cole's Facebook wall. She not only "liked" it, but she also went over to my Facebook page and "liked" it too!
As I sit here today with a few minutes to myself, completely confused as to what in heaven's name my Angel cards are trying to tell me, I decided to post how happy writing and creating these connections is to me. I cannot see from where I sit how or when my writing will lead to me making writing a full-time job, but it is what makes me happy. So, until I get a clearer sign, I will just keep writing everyday and see what happens.
